I hopped on the diet train at 13 years old. It was fueled by self-loathing, not self-love.
I’ve been overweight and underweight, struggled with disordered eating and drinking. Used food and alcohol to numb my uncomfortable emotions, transition out of stressful days in my high-pressure job, and claim those dopamine hits I believed I “deserved”.
